Need help with sump maint

I noticed that the water lever of my 3rd/last section of my sump is much lower than the first and second sections. It appears that my foam filter is clogged. I hate to clean it or throw it out because I'm concerned about moving it and losing Pods and a large bacteria surface, however, I don't know if I have any other options. I have plenty of L/R, so I guess it won't hurt much from a bacteria stand point.

Any suggestions or is this something that just has to happen every 6 months or so?

Clean it more frequently - like once per month. If you're really concerned about the current sponge being your main bacteria source, you could remove a little bit at a time (even if just half sticking out of the water).
