I noticed this this afternoon, after the light had been on for a bit. It's attached to one of my Frogspawns, and has some slime looking stuff coming out of it, kind of like a sweeper tentacle.

The first pic is of the top/head of this thing, and the second one, is where it attaches to the stony part of the Frogspawn.

The third pic is of a coral I posted some pics of a while back trying to ID. It was just individual mouths, unconnected at the time and now it's looking quite a bit different. I think it might be some sort of favia.

Thoughts...ideas?

Not exactly like the ones I have had but could be. Especially with the feeler.

Thanks, Eric. I read they are not good for the corals nearby. What's the best way to get rid of it?

superglue it's tube shut. The older it gets the bigger its slime web will be until it looks like a huge web/string of snot going across your tank. very unattractive. The coral is a chalice, I'm pretty sure.

stab a toothpick in there a few times first then super glue it shut...
