Anyone know what this green / yellowish thing is?

Safe to keep, or kill it with fire? Its stationary and doesn't move, I just have no idea what it is. I think it hitch hiked in on a piece of live rock from a yellow polyp that has since been lunch for my coral beauty.

Yep, it's a sponge. Good filter feeder. Angels may pick at it/eat it. It's harmless.

+1..
those things are weird haha.. if you smash them in your fingers (out of the tank) they kind of dissolve.

oh.. and they taste bad (don't ask how I know)

I have a couple the same exact color. The wierd thing was that they didn't show up until a few months ago. The rock is almost a year old. Must be doing something right.....

SnowMan, I want to know now.

sponges all ways seem to multiply in my tanks right before a nutrient and algae bloom...
