I am in big need of a skimmer.. I was trying to trade/partial trade a mp40w es but my skimmer isno longer workingand I cant wait on that to go through.. I am wondering if there is alocal storein Atlanta to get a larger skimmer..Looking for a SRO 3000INT or something that is capable to handle a heavy loaded 185 gallon system...

I am coming from alabama through ROme so the closer to that side the better..

Thanks

Local to Atlanta, I know Atlanta Aquarium stocks Reef Octopus stuff , as well as The Fish Store (of course call first before hopping in the car). Im sure there's others. Can't really help on the west side though.......I'm rarely out that way.

I was in Optimum Aquarium about a week ago, I saw some large skimmers there. They are also located in Kennesaw. Don't know there prices though, you do get a 10% discount for being a member.

55 Gallon DT, 30 Gallon Sump, Dual DIY PVC Overflow, Tunze Protein Skimmer, Jier JR 400 Gph return pump, 4 bulb T5HO w/ Night LEDs, 1x 850gph Koralia

I was at the Fish Store this past Sunday looking for some black egg crate. They had a table full of skimmers when you first walk into the place. I'm not sure what brands, etc.; I just briefly noticed them on the table since I wasn't looking for a skimmer.

As Ringo stated: Call first!! [to see if they are open] and if they have a particular brand your looking for. I would call first before I go to any Reef Store in Atlanta; my trip is 100 miles one way to any of the stores. I wish I would have called The Fish Store this past Sunday to see if the had the black egg crate before I stopped at the store.

We stock a ton of skimmers and other filtration products for large systems: the same stuff used by professionals and public aquariums. Stop by and check us out.

If its within your driving range, talk to Rit at Atlanta Aquarium. Give him a call

We have a few skimmers in stock that will take care of your bioload. The Reef Octopus SRO 3000 INT, however, is not one of them.

A couple of the ones in stock are the Reef Octopus NW-200, which is rated for up to 250 gallons, and the ASM G2, which is rated for 200 gallons. We have others, too.

Hope this helps! (Call before making the drive if you have any questions, though!)
