Does anyone have any experience with modding a MJ1200. I want better performance out of my CPR Aquafuge PS Skimmer. I am trying to decide between a typical mesh mod, like this:

I will definitely be modding the air intake like the third link. It reduces drag, and allows for more flow. In my mind, it seems the needlewheel mod would move more water, but the mesh wheel would make finer bubbles.
Any input would be appreciated.
