Nem Proofing Powerheads

How are you guys nem proofing your powerheads? Any DIY that isn't super ugly?
I just have a cheapo suction cup powerhead...nothing fancy.

I was thinking about drilling a PVC pipe & cap or maybe modifying a fish trap (sticking the powerhead inside)...
Thoughts? Ideas? Pics? Failures? Successes? Please share, thanks!

Depends on the power heads- there are printed covers for MP10s and 40s readily available. Nero5 as well. Melevs Reef has them, BRS, Fish of Hex etc. Gyres have netting available.
And you can always print a cover yourself.

Black plastic canvas. Cut it to size with a full wrap around the powerhead just slightly on the tight side. Ziptie it together with black ties and trim the ends.
This will create a sleeve that can be removed for cleaning.

I'm not sure if this one is too fine of a mesh. Hard to tell online. Joann's does have a selection in store to choose from.

You can use this stuff too, its sold as leaf gutter guard screening. You can buy a roll at Lowes for $4.
