Neon green Monti turning purple?

So I got this piece during the SPS fragging demo. And it looks like part of it is turning purple.

This is the best pic I could get of it.


Any thoughts? If you got a neon green Monti frag is this happening to yours?

It'll do that but only for very, very special reefers. I always knew you were special!

The monti is a Tyree Aequituberculata monti (montipora aequituberculata) and a little different than the much more common Monti cap (montipora capricornis). I googled the Tyree (not going to spell it out again) and some of the photos do show a blue/purple new growth ring.
