Never use HomeDeopt AquaMend again

Did it happen to anybody or just me?
Last weekend I tried to use HD AquaMend to hold couple of SPS frag. My skimmer has run crazily amd it has turned into a fountain. The collection cup is filled up quickly. I did 25% water change and it still does the same thing. I ran out of RO/DI water so I shutted off a skimmer.

No, I didn't. maybe that's why my skimmer has went nut for the last few days

You have to turn your skimmer off when you use it untill it cures. It happens to everyone.

I have been using the plumber putty at HD (the 3 minutes) with the word safe for drinking water for years. Its dark gray.

"It happens to everyone." It make me feel better. I thought there is something wrong with my skimmer.

thank Trinh. I am going to check out that product. Dark grey is much better than white

Hmmmm. I have used Aquamend countless times and my skimmer has never done that.

I have gotten away with mounting a couple frags without it happening but It always happens when I mount a bunch of frags or a couple of large colonies. Think it depends on how much you use.

I don't think I used a lot though. I used small amout to stick two small frags
