After over a year of planning I am firing up a 30 G that my Dad gave up on. I have had freshwater tanks for 12 years but never ventured into salt. I began working in a restaurant with a 150G lobster tank that was a poisonous green death trap and with a little money alot of work and some advise from our ner manager Dennis Wood "wineguy" we have a beautiful tempered tank with oysters, PEI mussles, barnicals and an 8#lobster named zeus. So began my obsession with marine life, I had to get a divorce and a bankruptcy to finally position myself to set up this tank but in the end, it was worth it. I only have three posts on this site because it is so **** informative that every time I want to post a question someone else has answered it already, like in twenty different ways. anyway here we go. Now if i only knew how to post pictures I could begin..:confused2:

alt="" />Aha i think that worked, this was a freshwater tank and god knows what my dad had squirted in it chemically so I stripped and resealed with new silicone like so

Then I wanted to build a sort of "stage" to rest the in-tank pump (supreme classic 500gph) as well as fabricate a post to "skewer" LR with, the intention being to stack a shelf in the center of the tank to maximize circulation and lighting

Drill little holes in the acrylic "skewer" stand to give pods a place to hide. Wouldn't hurt. Even if it is covered by sand a few could be left exposed towards the back with rubble covering the holes. Just a crazy thought

view from the side, the water just churns, surface is agitated with a little whirlpool in the center
