New air bubbles

so a few days ago my return pump decided to start pumping air bubbles...

NOT from the sump. these are big bubbles like its coming into the line somewhere...

any ideas?

to my knowledge I didn't do anything different to cause it..

could be getting in at one of the connections like at the pump/pipe connection or pipe/outlet nozzel connection
