<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Includes non-stop roundtrip airfare on Delta from Atlanta to Bonaire, 7 nights accommodations in quad/occ. at the Belmar Apartments, all oceanfront rooms (2 bed/2 bath with full kitchens, staying in the superior classic category) vehicle rental for each unit (four divers), comp. and collision insurance on the vehicle, airport transfers, 6-one tank boat dives, unlimited shore diving, unlimited Nitrox, tanks, weights and taxes. Just to clear up a misconception…I have been told that some people thought they would have to fill a full 4 person unit. That is a big negative on that. Just sign up and we will put other divers in the unit with you. Sorry about this, but always same sex in each bedroom (unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties). Upgrades to a different category room is available for an additional charge.</span>

<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Not Included: Bonaire Marine Park Tax $25.00 (currently), Bonaire Departure Tax $35.00 (currently)…these taxes must be paid on island by the individual. Boat tips.</span>

<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Again, remember breakfast is not included here. There are 3-4 grocery stores now on the island that carry all kinds of food, snacks, beverages, etc.</span>

<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">If you want to do your own airfare, deduct $851.00. There are flights available on Insel Air from Charlotte, through Curacao connecting to Bonaire. As of today, the United flight through Houston is $974.00, which is more expensive that Delta. </span>

<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">So, in order to get the special for the land/dive portion of the trip, I need your deposit no later than November 8th to hold your spot. Oh yeah, guess you guys want to know how much the deposit is…$200.00 per person. If you want to do your own airfare, that’s good, just let me know. But, unfortunately, I cannot hold an air seat for you without a deposit, and if you decide at a later date to get your own airfare, unless I can sell your spot, I cannot get the deposit back. </span>

Sounds like fun...been looking for a reason to burn up SkyMiles! Maybe next go around though...still looking for someone to help me get my OW Cert. My wife don't have her Passport yet either. (Need to add that to my list)

I have a customer that has been there on a diving trip, actually they have been all over the Gulf/Caribbean.

Lots of excuses... First, its October we don't leave for 8 months.. Get your passports... Second, It's only October, we don't leave for 8 months, get certified...it takes only 2 weeks....

No reason not to go.......Everyone always says next time and that comes and more excuses..... do it now! enjoy life.....!!

Yeah yeah I hear ya! I travel out of town every week. With two young daughters and no family in town...ya have any ideas how the wife and I can get in the water at the same time to finish our certs? :tongue: We decided we would need to get cert'd separately because of this. Which sucks, but o'well. So there is still the underlying problem of trying to setup someone to watch our girls while we travel.
Sucks walking into our closet and seeing our gear hanging there!:boo: I was hoping to find someone local that was PADI Instructor Certified so that I could do something local, or within a couple of hours away.
Looked at Dive Haven, but no one responded back to my question about PADI. I am able to get away for vacation about once a year to actually GO somewhere with the wife/kids. Otherwise its weekends here or there to go see family.:roll: Not really a vacation IMO.
May have to tag along to the Bama OW dive and shell out the extra money and do the group thing. Just getting it scheduled on THEIR time is the problem.

Track driving and drag racing... plus i haven't dove since '08.

Get ahold of Bill Boots here on ARC.. I believe wmboots is is handle.. He is an instructor and will do it.... or use Diane Harris like all the cool people do at Adventures in Diving... She is up in Duluth on P.I.B..... and they use a local pool.. take the kids... again no excuses...

How do they use a local pool for the OW part of the cert?
We were able to do our Classroom and Pool stuff already...before our neighbors that were like Grandparents to our girls. They have since moved out of state and they come to visit like typical Grandparents hahaha
I will try to get a hold of Bill. Kind of late to do anything local really...too cold I'm thinking...even with my 5mm. See what he says. The girls love the water, they are 4 & 7, and the 4 yr old has already tried Snorkeling. The 7 yr old ehh not big on it yet. Trying to get them snorkeling, so by the time they are old enough to take Scuba lessons...they will already have a good bit of experience. I think it makes it easier to do the transition of breathing under water.

Actually, I had sent him Bill Boots a PM back in Aug. or early Sept. Never heard back from him!

BTW Todd...we are practically neighbors. We live off of Sixes Exit.

You do all your skills in the pool.... Then you go to either Pelham, AL or Vortex Springs, FL to do the final certification... either way, you bring the kids... its water, they like it...

Sixes eh, you must live over by Simon.. I am in Bradshaw Farm

Correct, pool side of things have been done a while ago. I have the Referral Paper work from Diver Supply already in hand.
I'm good to get wet whenever, if its local. To go to the Quarry or the Springs, that will take planning around my work travels.
Not sure where Simon lives, I live off of Toonigh. So probably close to both of you. Ufret lives on the other side of Sixes near Blankets Creek. We have/had friends that live/d in Bradshaw Farms. Know the Tillman's or the Garzon's by chance?

Nah......do they golf? I bet if I seen them I would know them...And your closer to me than I thought..... check that paperwork, when was it done? usually that is good for like 6 months.... but, hell, what do I know....

Just sign up and dive people.. Lots of talk and no action....

Yeah I will likely need to do a refresher course to appease the paperwork. That is pretty easy to get scheduled I believe.
