New Cube

Sooo i was looking for an all in one, and was considering having Chris at Fish Scales build me one, until last night! I was driving home, and drove by a house in the neighborhood that was forclosed, they were clearing it out for the auction this weekend.... Low and Behold, a 29G Bio Cube, brand new, in box, not even untaped yet.

So, i walk up there last night, talk to the guys emptying the house, and they said take it, otherwise it was going to the dump!

SWEET!!!!!

so i set it up, and got it cycling now. not happy with the lights as they are PC but i think i can mod that to change it.

For all you other biocubers, what should i do with the bio balls? Alot of information on the web says dump em in the trash.

What should i run instead? LR ruble? alot of ppl also whine about the return pump any suggestions on what to replace it with.

you are sooooo lucky..... im jealous. Personally I would turn that into a seahorse tank with macro and zoas. No need to mod the light then!

yeah dump those bioballs, I turned mine into a mini fuge. I just added an led retrofit.

Seachem Matrix for the chamber and a plain maxi jet for the return...

dont do live rock rubble and cheatoh...get an intank media rack and run filter floss chemipure elite and purigen you wont regret it and your tank will be a lot less messy

My dad is like that i give him a list of things to keep his i out for and he always finds it in the trash some how. he even found live rock in the trash.
