About a few weeks ago I stumbled across a goldfish bowl with a cork cover and a LED light. Of course my first thought is thats perfect for a desktop pico, I could put in a small hermit and have something to look at on my desk.
So I set it up, small hand full of crushed coral, a chunk of live rock form my sump, a little algae, tiny hermit and snail. Looked to be doing fine until I looked at it this morning...much to my surprise it had a bunch of Hermit larva (I think, they look like shrimp larva butI don't have any shrimp in the tank I used to seed the bowl).
