New Member and my Tank

I have a 55g long with sump (FREEBIE!) that i got from a friend who upgraded to a 68g tank. Ive had the tank up and running for close to 5 months now.

I have roughly 46lbs of live rock and 60lbs of sand consisting of 40lb black non-live sound and 20lb of Black Arag Alive.

Im running T5 Lighting with 1 18k and 1 Actinic Plus Lamp for 8 hours aday, Water temps are staying around 78/79 with a peek of 80.

I recently had a outbreak of hair algae show up.. i did a 10g water change last week and did a 15g yesterday.

im still up in the air on which direction i want to go in.. my friend that i got the tank from is doing mostly corals and hes got me liking them but he has MH lighting.. i was thinking of doing a lil coral and some fish
