New Member / Freshwater African Cichlid

I just joined and I think I just realized I may have wasted my $30. It seems there is very little in here about freshwater / African Cichlids.

Is this site primarily for Saltwater people? :sad:

Hi cgriz95, yes this club is mainly for saltwater hobbyists, but we do have some members with freshwater tanks.

we do have a freshwater forum that needs some love, you could be the one to get our saltwater floks with freshwater tanks to post again.
I don't have cichlids anymore but when I did it was over 500, now we have poison dart frogs.
we welcome you to the ARC anyway.

Both clubs are wonderful hobby resources and there is a lot of crossover though. AAAA (a.k.a. the FW club) is meeting this Saturday (3/5) at the Fernbank Science Center. We'd love to meet you there or at the ARC expo that is coming up.

Pretty sure you could get a refund if your interest is the other club solely.

Definitely check out AAAA. Great club. Also both clubs are working towards getting better relations going between them. So hopefully we will see some more freshwater interaction here and visa versa. As I've said before it will only benefit both clubs in my opinion.

Agreed! Would love to have some planted tank gurus spreading their knowledge here.

I would love to hear more about your tank, I use to have a 150g african cichlid tank a few years ago. Might set up another one soon.
