Hello everyone. My name is Adam and I live in Duluth. I am new to sw and do not have a tank atm. I have wanted to setup up a reef tank for many years. When I finished my basement in the beginning of the 2000's I setup a space to do an in wall setup with room for a 220ish gallon tank and plenty of room behind for the sump, mixing station and maintenance.

Due to over spending on my 1st house and the market crash I never got started. I am now planning on making the jump into the hobby. Although I'm thinking about going a little smaller 120-150 gallons for cost reasons and a possible move in a couple years. I am in no hurry and will be doing a lot of dyi. Looking forward to learning from the people here and offering help to anyone in my local area.

Thanks for reading.

Hey Adam, I'm new to SW too and I'm currently setting a 120 up. One thing I've learned so far is if you buy used, you can save some serious money. I've been patient and collecting equipment for a while and that has helped spread the costs out too. Good luck!

Hi Dapper, that's exactly my plan. The only thing I've picked up so far is a 55 gallon tank to use for the sump. CL special not even 6 months old or used for $75. Now I'm looking for a DT without over flows drilled. I want to do a coast2coast overflow with an external box and a beananimal drain. That and reading, reading, reading.
