I "ponied up" the 30 bucks as suggested and became an official member! Hooray! Anyone have some small frags or fish for sell? (I had to ask)

I've had my tank running for a bout 8 months now. I just moved it and it had developed a lot of coraline algae on the sides. Is it bad to scrape it off dead? It was pink and I didn't mind it but now its white and annoying.

Is your tank acrylic or glass? The way you scrape coraline off might change significantly....

its acrylic. i have an acrylic brush but i wanted to make sure scraping them off wouldnt release toxins in the water or anything like that. im assuming not, but just checking.
