New Reefer in Woodstock

Hi,

Just stepping back into the hobby after a 10yr vacation. Building a 150g Tall tank and plan to "mixed reef" it. :fish:

Addicted to Reef Central forum and decided reading and supporting the local site was the right thing to do. Tank should be here in a couple of weeks. I'll start a build thread when that happens.

I was looking at pics of your tank.....AWESOME!!! You can certainly expect a few PMs, if that's ok. Here's the environment I have purchased.

150 X Tall (48" x 30" x 24")
Berlin 200 Sump
INS135 Skimmer
35W UV Sterlizer
Reeflo Snapper Hybrid Pump
2 x Vortech MP40wES
2 x Radion XR30 LEDs
Apex Controller
JBJ ATO
Spectrapure 90gpd 5 Stage RO/DI
50lbs Fiji LR
120lbs Fiji Live Sand
Preconditioned water (I simpy do not want to screw this up with a bad cycle)
I have a mixing station in my basement with 50G SW and 50G RO/DI water

I am passionate about anything marine life and want to give anything I put in my tank the best opportunity to survive. I used to work in a fish store and saw so many tanks go wrong when people tried to cut corners/cost. The result was a bad experience all round.

I want it all as automated as possible, since I love to tinker and play and having the APEX handle most of it will provide "intervention".

I am considering adding a Phosban Reactor and Calcium Reactor right from the start. I want to do it RIGHT, right from the start.

Cannot wait for this thing to get here....

Bear in mind I don't have any equipment at my house yet, nor a single drop of water.....I went out and UPGRADED some of the parts today.

So my sump is no longer under the tank, it's now in the basement and will be driven by a Barracuda Pump.

I added a 50G Refug
I added a 50G QT tank
I upgraded my sump from a Berlin 200 to a Berlin 300
I upgraded my skimmer from an INS-135 to an INS-180

LOL.....it's gonna be awesome.....my own FISH ROOM!!!!! Woop Woop!!!
