I am looking into purchasing a new RODI unit and i wanted to hear anyones feedback on what would be a good unit. Im looking for a 5 or 6 stage and atleast 75 gallons gpd with an inline TDS. Ive looked through the BRS stuff and AWI but i am still unsure as to which way to go.

Thanks for the input...

Edit: or would this be more suiting [IMG]http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/75-gpd-ro-di-5-stage-plus-system.html">http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/75-gpd-ro-di-5-stage-plus-system.html</a>

That first one is the one that I won from the ARC BBQ that rit is now running the store on. It's a monster!!!!

Great idea. You may want to upgrade tanks in the future. /Devil's advocate :lol2:

Geoff,

The Bulk reef unit financially is the way to go if you only need 75 a day. For about another 100 you can double that......... It is all about what you need.

I have a Spectrapure 5 stage 180 gpd with a built in TDS meter. It's a great unit. In hindsight I would have checked the pure/waste water ratio. With all the water I run through it I have a lot that goes to waste. Between watering the plants and the dogs a bunch still goes down the drain

+1 on Spectrapure, I love mine it's a 4 stage 90GPD. I pay a flat price for water though so the waste water doesn't matter to me.

I've been running a 5 stage 75gpd unit from purelyh2o for years now and its never done me wrong. I say get either the monster AWI or BRS 75gpd units, BUT get the 150 GPD add on from BRS to up your production and cut down on waste.

Geoff, Id go with the monster, for $269 thats a good deal considering how much you rely on your rodi. If you can justify a $450 powerhead you can Justify a $270 RO unit. And even if you cant its still worth it....

I would also weigh my decision on pure/waste ratio and how readily available the replacement filters are. If they are special in any way and have to be ordered thru AWI vs getting some BRS that would be a drawback for me. I can always use something from BRS to hit min free shipping.

I've owned one from
a> for 5 years. It has been flawless

Thanks for the input guys, i really do appreciate it....

How would i know if an RODI unit used a special filter as gary noted in the awi vs the brs?

So i really needed a new one and i just went ahead and ordered the monster from AWI. Thanks for the input guys...
