New salt mix on the market

Looks like Tunze has introduced a new salt mix to the US market in the last 2 weeks. They gave away 40 free bags over on RC.

The inital tests by some of the reefers that got it looks promising. Here are the general ranges.

Calcium 410 or better
Mag 1200 or better
Dkh 8.4 to 10


Prices from both PremiumAquatics.com and Aquariumspeciatly.com are running at 63gal for $26.90 and 126ga for $54.93. A little more than the IO and RC etc. But about the same for hW Marinemix.

I've ordered some from Scott at Aquariumspecialties.

Yep, see this was the reason that I tried to make sure the system did not let you post... A Tunze salt?!? It will prob control your pumps too...

Tunze salt... hmm good product that will be overpriced is my guess.

As stated in the original post $27 bucks a bag plus frt. I'm trying as I've not been happy with the salts I've tried as of late.

The price is definitive but how good it is has not been determined. They are already 30% plus what you can get RC for and no telling if it dissolves as well.

IMO, salt is the great moving target and effects tank performance very little.
