I've decided to buy a new sump and skimmer for a 95 gal wave aquarium. I'm leaning toward these:

I'm fairly certian the skimmer is a good one, but does anyone have any experiance with the sump? Thanks.

If you have the room, look at this sump: http://www.myreefcreations.com/36-Reef-Sump">http://www.myreefcreations.com/36-Reef-Sump</a>

It incorporates a refugium and is fabricated out of 3/8" cast acrylic (heavy duty!). If you need it to be smaller, MRC can customize one for you.

Yes I've seen the mrc sump before, (my father has one on his tank) but it will not fit. I didn't think about going the custom route, figured the cost would be too high. Might check into it though. The berlin wd-125 is a good price imo at $279...

That berlin looks kinda scary to me. I have an MRC sump that was custom built and it is awesome. It was a little bit more than the berlin, but not all that much more.

Ok, so for the past few days i've tried to contact MRC to try and buy the skimmer and I've yet gotten in touch with anyone, I tried calling Thur, Fri, and now today. I've gotten no response through e-mail or phone...I'm beginning to wonder if it's the right place to buy? I have heard the customer service is great but not seeing it! Any suggestions....might have to think about anouther brand.

Not understanding what you mean... why do you say that sump looks scary? What am I not seeing?

Thats a good looking sump but it will not fit the stand, the berlin wd125 is as wide as I can fit in the door. I'm going to have to smash the one in there now to get it out. (diy from a 29gal tank)

when you say smash, do you mean take a razor knife and cut the silicone to dimantle it? If not, I will.

By "smash"...I mean with a hammer! I'm not that attached to the sump, that i wanna go through the trouble. Your more than welcome to come over and dismantle with razor blade...the only catch is the tank is in Northern Kentucky!

you know...on second thought...why would I be so selfish as to take away the joy you'll find in busting up an aquarium...lol. Carry on my friend...

Thanks...that was one of the few things I can look forward to in my life...I'd be more than happy to ship the "pieces" to you!

As tempting as that sounds...I have plans already on what would be delivery day...lol. Thanks though!

Just FYI... MRC replied and I got everything worked out...and just as everyone claims their cust. service is great...glad I didn't jump the gun and do something stupid, like buy something else!

...... and I got to pick the sump up today for Kevin and met Tim, nice guy. While there I bought myself the Ocean Force 300. Installed it in 20 minutes in my MRC sump (under my Deep Sea 215) and all appears well at this point.
