So I tore out the old 55 gallon sump today for the big sump. The new sump is 48X24X19. The old sump was 36X18X19 and needed to go. A little small for a 180 gallon reef. So here are some new pictures.

Thanks man it was alot of work now Im tired and need a nap, and a cold beer. No leaks and the skimmer has popped into high gear. I still have to work out a few kinks with the noise level but it should be ok.

Thanks Bud today was the big day for sump swap. Im trying to be a more knowledgable reefer. Also I installed a small manifold with 2 ball valves tied all in from the return in the sump. This will give me a place to do water changes just flip the ball valve and the return empties the sump threw a hose into my bucket. The other is for a string of phosban reactors.

Also with the manifold I save electric by not using more pumps. And Im not too worried about losing preasure with the phosbans running.

The chiller is still on the far right side then the top off then the sump on the left. Really my chiller hasnt kicked on in over two months....

It's been cold out....my ambient tank temp is around 78 now. Oh how I'm not looking to the summer. Then again I don't have a chiller, hopefully I can get through it w/o one again :)
