New tang has ick

I am Bubba..I have been asking all the questions about the skimmers. Mine is the pits and only works 20% of the time. I just looked at my tank and my new yellow tang has ick on both of its fins....looks like in the exact same place. Also have new Blonde Naso and he looks clean as of this second. What do I do now? Just tore down my QT tank. By the way...both tangs were QT'ed together in the same tank. "tired of mopping and tired of medicating" going to buy a lama!!! Bubba

75 gal. small sump have two tangs, just discovered within the hour that one has ick. I'm trying to buy a skimmer and now I may be loosing everything in my fish world. Definately need external...need to leave space for the UV.</em>

For now, feed the fish heavily... as long as he is eating he'll be OK. If he won't eat, that's a different scenario. Also, a Naso is going to get WAAAAY too big for a 75g tank. The yellow is debatable, but that tank is nowhere near big enough for a Naso.

I plan on raising the Naso until he is too large then sell/trade him.
My last yellow tang lived in the 75 for 5 years....passed away when the water company forgot to inform us that they had made a mistake in the chemicals added to our water (at that time I did not have the RODI system). I will be feeding and watching and changing....thanks for the info.

Get some selcon or whatever vitamins exotic has to add to the food. The asian market down Bemiss has some really large packs of nori cheap. Also check out the whole dehydrated stalks of seaweed they have. Good stuff.
