New tank …

I’m looking at the future and planning on probably rebuilding my set up quarter 3 of 2026- quarter 2 2027. I’m very happy with my 230.6 I’ve had. I’m actually going with waterbox again. I’m eyeing the LX 290 this time. Question is 4 inches front to back worth the extra 4k price tag and how hard would it be to maintain being that deep ? I only have a 10k budget on the tank so I can afford any bigger or wife would kill me.

Extra 4k for 60 gallon extra water valume seems bit much granted you get 4” in depth… 25” vs 29”. Why not keep your current tank and maybe upgrade in the far future instead of upgrading and never having matured tank. Maybe you can use your current tank and keep the live rocks living so when time comes it will get jump started. Sorry, I know you mentioned something about taking down the tank already. Maybe the current tank is gone….

My last sps colon died a few weeks ago and I currently do not ave the energy to reboot. Top everything off my master bathroom sprung a leak and all My flooring will need to come up.im not sure I can juggle moving tank around the construction . Financially probably better to keep it but mentally im drained and at this point I just need to step away and not worry about moving it into storage and or garage

I have I just honestly like the simple stand and inclusiveness of it all. I’m sure when time comes I’ll circle around again to what I want
