Hello everyone! I just started a new 28gal with cured live rocks and 100% water from established tanks, should I still try to let it do the whole cycle or I just need to monitor the levels and can slowly introduce habitants since the only thing 'new' here is the tank itself.

Thank you!

I would wait to add stuff until you are sure there is no ammonia in the tank. So you can ghost feed in the meantime.

You may get a little die off from the rocks, but I’d guess you’re good to go to add a couple hardy fish immediately. Drop in a small bottle of Bio Spira and you should be solid.

I would not put corals in yet. Definitely keep checking ammonia, nitrite and nitrate, as Zap says.

When you say cured, do you mean in a brute can or in an established system? If the rock is from an established system there will be no cycle, it's ready. If it's from a brute can with only water for a few months you may get a sneak cycle when nutrients are introduced via feeding fish.
