I am new to Atlanta. Can someone recommend some reputable saltwater fish stores? I need both coral and fishes for my 180G tank. Are those fish stores open on Sunday?

Thanks

I hope this is helpful. Since you live in Atlanta, you may want to invest $30.00 for membership [ARC]. You will get you money back in savings for discounts offered to ARC members in just a few visits to the local fish stores.

I live 90 miles south of Atlanta and I'm a member. Anyways, welcome aboard. As you will see, ARC has a wealth of knowledge here and membership will save you some money in the long run.

P.S. You can look on Youtube. In search box; type "atlanta reef stores". Videos were posted recently of 5 of the fish stores in Atlanta.

Hey young fish... welcome to the club! Since you are new to Atlanta here is a link to the Sponser Map,

http://www.atlantareefclub.org/index.php?page=sponsormap">http://www.atlantareefclub.org/index.php?page=sponsormap</a>

It helps me to find where things ara relitve to each other. Most stores seem to be on the North side of the city (The water is better there -just kidding!) Also you can click on the sponser on the sponser page and will give you hours and contact info- I ususally call fist to be on the safe side, GiulianoM just did a great job and updated evey thing, but things can change

Welcome young fish. Two of the closest to you would be optimum and creation reef. Both are nice stores. If you don't mind driving a little farther north you could check out imagine ocean as well.

Pure reef, SEA and Marine Designs are great store! As is Creation and ImagineOcean.

Not to highjack the thread but, who is the guy that made those videos? Anybody know? That was a very good idea. I just wanted to give him cudos.

Oh BTW, welcome to Atlanta and the ARC.

I wouldn't mind driving a little bit if the store is good. There are so many sponsors. Iwould like to see only the best. How about pick the top five for me? Thx

Pure reef, pure reef, SEA, and marine design along with creation.

My top 3: Imagine Ocean, Pure Reef & Sea Atlanta. I am kind of half in two in the middle of all three. :-)

I live 90 miles south of Atlanta. I have only visited two reef stores in Atlanta. I know you will not be disappointed if you visit Pure Reef. So far, Pure Reef is my favorite store. The staff is wonderful and very knowledgeable. They have a great selection of fish as well as corals. They also have a great variety of support equipment; pumps, test kits, etc.

I believe that Pure Reef will be one of your favorites, as you visit the reef stores in Atlanta. I would be very surprised if Pure Reef doesn't make the top of your list once you complete your visits.

P.S. My next visit to reef stores in Atlanta will consist of visiting Imagine Ocean. JennM is very helpful on discussion topics here at ARC. I would like to visit her place to personally thank her for being an "active participant" when it comes to sick fish. JennM has rescued fish and gives them a "quality life" when others believe that there is no hope for the sick fish. Thanks JennM for your service to bringing fish back to good health.

Anyone who is selling coral/fishes can also let me know. I am in the process of stocking up my tank....

I'm also in Marietta and Creation Reef in Woodstock is my favorite in the area. They're closed on Sunday, though. For a little bit more drive and as others have recommended, Imagine Ocean is great as well!

If ur cool with paying alittle more and getting alittle better quality then this is it from my house anyway. 1. Pure 2. Marine designs 3. Nemo (best prices) . +1 on getting stuff from other members. Ive met some awesome people and given and received some sweet deals. Def go by some sponsors and introduce yourself go deals and knowledge all around
