Welcome to the ARC, there is a lot of info that will be helpful to you on the site. The people here are great and the meetings are fun and will teach you thing you will use in this hobby.

Do as much research as you can.Go as big as your budget allows, the more water your system will hold, generally the more stable your parameters will be. Make a game plan on what you are trying to do,(reef or fowlr). Be very patient do not rush anything, I know its tempting but be patient. Btw this is a great place to get information.

For me, it was helpful to read a LOT. I read until my brain couldn't hold anymore, and then I started slowly.

pm a moderator for help with your profile.

as to your tanks, congrats! are either of the tanks drilled or "reef ready". my advice to you is do your research. know exactly what you want and how to set it up. have a nice clean, easy to maintain system is sooooooo much better in the long run. any specific questions feel free to ask here, this is a great place for information. welcome

i pmed a mod but they never got back to me yet.. im wanting to become a member and dont know if the addres is right

Whatever you do take it slow, remember you a building a ecosystem in your home, newbies want the bright colored fishes and SPS corals tommorow, if you rush into it you will end up with more problems than you can handle. As stated above go as big as your budget can handle, check out craigslist you can find many used tanks, just be sure to check them out in detail before you bring it home, your 55 gallon can be your sump/refugium. Good luck and keep reading.
