Ive been doing this right at 9 years and still made a stupid mistake last night. This weekend Im going to tie the 120g to the sump room down stairs . Im just waiting on the barracuda pump on Friday. So i figure Id do one last water change with buckets to get it out of my system. I mixed up 30 gallons of water .Had a mag 12 with a short hose to fill up my water containers with old water from my sump.So I unplug one of my koralia1400s from my dj switch and forgot to flip the switch off. The hose was pointing right at me as plug in the mag 12 to fill up 6 five gallon containers I got soaked.

Hahahaha! :lol2:

Cant say I've ever done that... but I've had more than my share of boneheaded moments ...

A week ago I was cleaning the skimmer cup from my BK 160 in my 100 gallon reef. This has a tendency to shoot a small amount of water straight up out of the skimmer body on startup if the cup isn't on top. Knowing this I stupidly plugged back in with the cup off and had to spend 15 minutes wiping the spray or the underside of the stand, all the equipment, everything.

Im glad my stand had to be shimmed.I was able to get the water off the floor and me.This is the whole reason I built my sump down stairs.

LOL... Me, my signature bonehead move is putting the hose into the sump to replace water during my water changes, plugging it in and having the force of the water whip the hose out of the sump, spraying the room.

I've done this 3x...

They're wives... They're supposed to laugh at us. LOL..

Gotta say mine stopped laughing on time #3. lmao...
