First newbie mistake, not a huge one but being impatient! I started plumbing my water station before my pump arrived, it has 1.5 inch fittings and I plumbed 1 inch. I know I can use fittings and size it down to 1 inch, but would it be better to start over. I can take the unions back and exchange them. Will it make that much of a difference just for my water station? Thanks

I guess the main question is how big is the mixing station, how many gallons are we talking? Also what pump did you get?

No big deal to size it down. Most people do on the jebaos. They even come with different size outputs.
That's a lot of pump for 75 gallons! I would use the 1.5" coming out of the pump and put a 1.5 to 1" reducer on to connect to the piping you've already done.
You'll also need to run the pump at the lowest setting and see how much turn over there is in the SW mixing tank. Some salt mixes don't like huge turn over. They'll start out cloudy and clear up briefly only to cloud back up. Some will never clear up when there's too much flow.
I'm using a what I think is a Mag7 pump and it's enough to create a full vortex all the way down to the drain at the bottom of a 55gal Brute can. If I leave it running too long even LA salt will start clouding back up on me.

I think the pump is prolly fine. It's a DC pump so you can ramp it up or down however you wish. I use a dcp8000 for mixing and its only 55 gallons. So I would just use it and turn it down if its too much. Your call though, if you have another use for it then a smaller one will do 
Last month you said you were getting a DCP5000 for the mixing station. Now that pump is perfect for this application.
For the main system, a DCP13000 is good, especially if you're going to run a manifold of some kind. Having a backup pump is always a good idea.

He already has a varios 8 for the return pump so no need for the display. Turned down the dcp will be fine for this.
I've got a DCP3000 as a spare, I'll trade you and kick in $50 if you like, I need a pump for 14 foot head
