Testing water now after just shy of 48 hours. Got the ammonia badge but just to be safe tested. Everything 0 except Nitrates 10ppm.

Is that too high? If so how do I clear them out of a bare bones 13 gallon QT tank?

Your nitrates aren't that high right now. But you can do like a 20-30% water change. And that will help bring down that nitrate number.

What's the QT for? You probably mentioned it but if it's a fish QT, it's really no problem. You might get some accelerated algae growth but you can always keep the lights to a minimum. I don't know how that number could be correct though. Did you use freshly mixed saltwater? I guess it could be that high if you bought live rock and it came loaded with bacteria, maybe? What test kit are you using?

Edit: Nevermind, I just saw your setup. I am still curious what test kit you're using.

API Saltwater master test kit, have an ammonia badge. I added Instant Ocean BioSpira yesterday so I assume that is why ammonia and nitrites are 0 and nitrates are up. PH is 8.2, salinity sg (hydrometer) 1.025 and we mixed the water ourselves using instant ocean basic purple

Yeah, the nitrates can inhibit immune response but that's at higher concentrations. At 40, I would do a water change to bring them down but 10 isn't anything I'd worry about.

These clowns really are clowns! I haven’t seen them in or near the pvc, might switch that up a little. They first hung out practically glued to each other near the floor. Last night they stayed up at the top next to the hob and today they are just hanging around the back left corner of the tank. They are eating, Nemo more vigorously than Marlon. Frozen shrimp. It floats all around but if it doesn’t basically fall near them they don’t swim around looking for it. I did add an air pump to the setup for more O2 and water movement.

I wouldn't expect the clowns to utilize the pvc fittings, unless maybe they decided to hang around the outside. The pvc is recommended for more timid species or ones who normally hide in or under rock and coral structures.
