Noisy pump

Ok I finally got water in my tank but the problem I've run into is vibration from my pump. I'm running a Blueline 55 external mount and the whole set up is sitting on a wooden base. I'm getting alot of vibration from the pump. I tried bolting the pump down which is what I would prefer so it doesn't accidently get knocked and stress the bulkhead fitting that it's attached to. Lots of vibration. Tried unbolting it and still the same vibration. I'm thinking that there needs to be some type of a pad under the motor to dampen the vibration. Anyone know what I can use and where to get it. I was thinking maybe some type of a gel pad of sorts.

Mousepad, cheap and effective
I also like to use spa flex for the connections between pump and bulkhead - helps a lot

I already had a mouse pad in mind but someone I ran into at a LFS had told me that he uses some type of a gel pad which works even better. I didn't ask him for more details at the time because I hadn't had the problem occur yet so here I am trying to play catch up.
