I've got 3 grand kids that have each had just one music lesson. Twelve-year-old wants to play guitar, 10 year old drums, 7 year old piano. I need to get Instruments for them to practice, obviously don't want expensive stuff until we see if the interest is real. Advice on where to get used or inexpensive guitar, small or electronic drum set and keyboard will be greatly appreciated.

Everything 1mbrews8 said is spot on. For guitars just get a good quality brand and you will be okay. If you don't they will quit out of frustration. Fender, Ibanez, Alvarez, Yamaha, Epiphone, Gibson, Taylor are all good names in guitars. For a decent used guitar expect to budget $300-400. I am not as knowledgable on the electric drums so I suggest doing some research online. For a keyboard you will want to get full size keys and if possible a full size keyboard (88 keys). In my opinion you cannot beat Yamaha for quality keyboards. I have not purchased one in a long time so I do not know what kind of budget you should have for a used keyboard. If you have a good local music store to visit and ask questions that is what I would do.
