So ill go ahead and ask the most noob question. How long until im not labeled a new member on here? Lol

Also want to say, im excited about my frist meeting. See you all there!
 
Two months is still pretty new, things will start becoming more exciting soon. You should post a couple pics of the setup, i always enjoy seeing another tank.

I think your question is more directed at the “New Member” flair that appears next to your name. I’ve been in the hobby for a while, but didn’t join this site until January. My “New Member” flair just disappeared recently; so maybe it’s set to change at 150 days (5 months) or so.

Though, I personally probably consider anyone with under 1-2 years experience to still be a beginner in this hobby. There’s a lot to learn; even for veterans.

Ya that is what i meant. Totally understand that im new at the hobby and will be for awhile. Just thought i would ask when it disappears from your profile name. Also figured i would wright a question on here so i can get some posts under my belt.

Nice setup! I have no idea how long the "New Member" tag lasts but as I was scrolling down this thread there was a brief moment when I thought "Wow, for 2 months your tank looks just like @bhodges82 I figured it out once I scrolled back up. Here's an old shot of my tank right after I started fragging up my LPS and adding more SPS.

Nice set up you all. Cant wait until mine gets a few ywars under its belt. Does it take awhile to grow coraline algae? I have some snails with it, just waiting for it to take hold in the tank.
 
Thanks Camellia! Ya I stare at my corals and wonder how everyone isnt in this hobby. They are like a combination between animal and plant. There almost alien like. And they're good at cleaning out my wallet lol
