I have heard before that mushrooms exposed to intense light loose their coloration, but I thought zoas and plays get better coloration with more light.
My nuclear greens where doing great and are still multiplying but in the last week I have noticed they are loosing color. I have moved them to a lower area in the tank and hope that helps. Any other ideas?

Thanks

if i put some zoes under my 3w led they loos a bit and dont open fully.
i keep them to the outer ring of the tank.
try moving them around a bit in the tank maybe there not happy.

3w total? Is too much???

yea i put some tubs blue on a rock directly under them and they closed up
its 6x 3w my mushrooms also will melt if not on the outskirts.

Oh I thought you meant like a little marineland 3w freshwater LED not 18w total. That makes more sense

I've got the 36" solar extreme t5 with 4 bulbs = 2 actinic and 2 white plus i also run 3 12.5" 6 watt Stunner LED 445nm Blue to increase coloration.
I used to run those LEDs in my 20g with a 2 bulb t5 and it all looked great. I figured it would be less strong in a 65g since now I have more distance between the lights and the bottom.
I tried to place the corals keeping the same distance that I had in the 20g so the change wouldn't be to hard on them, but I guess having 2 extra T5s makes a huge difference...
I already moved the corals to a lower area to see if that helps, we'll see what happens.

Edit:
