Octopus cone skimmer

Are the cones the future of skimmers? It seems everyone is coming out with one. I'm thinking of preordering one. I was going to go with the Vertex, but this is a LOT cheaper. Thoughts?

Link and price? I was looking to upgrade my skimmer in the near future and was planning on an Octopus, but if they make cones...maybe I could wait a bit longer.

Not sure if it is just the new thing or they realy make more skim, but I know that contact time is important and the cone shape reduces it. The shape does consentrate the bubbles and have a smoother transition to the cup. I think that people over pay on skimmers to have the newest or so called best name when there are just as good ones for alot less money.
