Sales person tried to sell this to me....does anyone have one and what do we know about this skimmer? Thanks, Bubba

I'll move this to Reef Discusion for you. You'll get more responses there. The Product Review forum is for posting product reviews.

Which type of 2000? There are a couple different ones, internal cylinder, internal cone, external cylinder, external cone, sump space saver?

All are very good skimmers. powered by the bubble blaster pump. I personally against the cone as they are more money and rated for less gallons. I'm planning to get the external cylinder when I get the funds if that helps.

Also just saw your in valdosta, jaustin has the external cone and he's in ray city. Might him him up.

XP2000 external and I believe he said cone.. $405.00 5%disc. for ARC member. free shipping.
Yes, Justin and I talked at length about this purchase. He is the GodMan that has helped me go on with this hobby. He has seen my tank and knows what my future plans are and his suggestion was the SRO2000 and my check book was looking more in the range of the SRO 1000. The skimmer man told me the SRO1000 was no longer available.
I have read some unflattering things about the XP2000, little pain in the tank things that you pros could deal with.....I am not one to deal with those kind of problems. I am too busy mopping the flool from the usless coralife I made the mistake of purchasing.
75 gal, sump, rodi, ____skimmer. Tangs and I guess they are the reason I need to over skim. Like em, need em. Need your input more!!!! Bubba

I have the internal xp 2000 cone. I could not be happier.

Compare mine SRO 5000sss to mine extrem 200 is like day and night, the bubble blaster is very stable. You can go wrong with it.
