has anyone else seen this? Look at the base stretching...

Yup they do that.  Once they find a sweet hole in a rock and they dont want to move they will stretch out to get as much light as possible.  Mine stretches out over a foot.  Nems are crazy creatures.

Had one that anchored itself to a rock at the bottom of my 14 gal biocube and stretch all the way to the surface.

Stayed that way for months until I broke the tank on accident
