I have two black and white misbar clowns, which are awesome, and fat, hopefully one day a breeding pair. And I also have a feather duster that hasn't been opening fully the past few days and i just found out why, my clowns attack it and sends it back in its tube. Now i have had this feather duster for about a year and the clowns since february. Why would they all of a sudden would they start doing this now? That feather duster is my main attraction in the tank along with the acans....whats up with them?

How the heck am i gonna move it? lol its attached to a rock. i dont wanna lose this sucker, he my fav lol as plain as he is.

Any other opinions before I go diggin up this rock that is about 10" long 6" high and about 5" across

Do they have a nem to host? That usually keeps their full attention although I don't know how well B&W's tend to host.

And with my limited clown experience......I think the title of the thread should be "Normal Clown Behavior":D All my clowns act odd...LOL.

no, i haven't got a nem. I did a while back but it didnt last long in my tank and I'm not getting another till I know what caused it's demise.

more "normal" clown behavior update lol....well looks like they are ignoring the feather duster today lol...very weird little coupld i have lol

I went through the same thing a while ago. The female clown would constantly attack the duster everytime he tried to poke his feathers out. I tried moving rock, the duster, everything and nothing worked. Once I moved everyone out to the new tank, she nipped at him at first but then just ignored him. It tried my patience as well. BTW...the clowns may try to host a variety of corals so you have some options if you wanted to try a different approach. My male tries to host my candycane, duncans, toadstools and the alvepora. Go figure!

I got lots of acans where there at, and two candy canes on the other side of the tank lol... clowns gotta love em tho.

My No Bar Cinnamon hosts in a Bubble Coral. I recently put a bubble tip over close to the coral. The clown is interested but the anemone isn't. It stays draws up and is half way under a rock

My Maroon claimed some polyps or palys (I've got no idea as to which or what), actually two sets of them, it was like watching him play a tennis match alone. He would run to one group and then to the other (about 8" apart). I've recently added a GBTA over on his side. NOW....he has a summer home, a winter home and a condo downtown!

haha, thats cute, i would enjoy that...i dont think i would even change that just to see him do that.

and they are back to terrorizing the duster so i got to figure out how to remove it fro the rock, it would cause to much of a disturbance to dig up the rock and move it.

You got one over 200g i can have with stand, skimmer, lights and full of rock and sand :D
