I had a major flatworm outbreak about 2 months ago - not being a huge fan of chemical warfare I tried siphoning them out as I saw them, we all know and endless battle.

So I bought some Flatworm exit, ready to nuke the pest and started reading about the side effects. I do the same with my medications, so I figured it's only fair.
After a lot of reading I wasn't too sure if I really wanna undergo all the trouble for a nuisance that is only visually disturbing but really causing no harm.

So, about 3 weeks ago, I stopped by one of our sponsors and bought a sixline wrasse, very hesitant of what that critter could do for my problem.

First day after QT: not showing any interest in the massive worm population.
second to 5th day: same thing

6th day: where are the flatworms???

7th day, sixline no longer swimming after flakefood

8th day: even with a magnifying glass and lots of time, absolutely NO signs of flatworms in the entire tank and the sixline is back to flakes and frozen...

I love her - best experience ever with natural predators...

Robb,
I had the same experience. Sixline took care of all the flatworms in my nano. It was amazing.

A classic ode is structured in three major parts: the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strophe">strophe</a></em>, the [I][IMG]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antistrophe">antistrophe</a></em>, and the [I][IMG]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epode">epode</a></em>. Different forms such as the [I]homostrophic ode</em> and the [I]irregular ode</em> also exist.

Example....

Sixline all slippery and sleek, worms are all scared with the havoc you wreak.

Prowling my tank with darting and flashing, spinning and twisting, flipping and splashing.

Oh sixline sixline so noble so brave, of your virtues and value I extol and I rave.

Perhaps a Haiku which is a form of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_poetry">Japanese poetry</a>, consisting of 17 [IMG]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mora_(linguistics)">morae</a> (or [I][IMG]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onji">on</a></em>), in three metrical phrases of 5, 7 and 5 morae respectively.

Sixline ate all my worms.

I'm glad there are not any more.

Sixline is like a melody.

Loren,

in case you ever sell the rights to make a book from your comments - I'd like to call dibs.

We should AT LEAST have a "Best of Loren" thread somewhere with just links to the bestest comments online.
