Old Apex aquacontroller program no-longer working?

My friend recently got a new samsung S7 and the old Apex program is not working. So, I came home and downloaded onto my iphone6 and for some reason its not able to find the Apex from my home internet either. Im just qurious as if anyone else is having this issue?
We both are able to use apex fusion none the less~~~ <><
