My ORP typically runs between 350 and 400 on my uncalibrated probe. Each time I perform a 20% water change, my ORP drop below 250. I have been using Tropic Marin salt for the last 18 months and was using Reef Crystals and IO before that. I typically mix, heat and airate the replacement water 48 hours before performing the change. My questions are:
1) Do you see the same thing?
2) I don't remeber such a drop when I was using IO and RC, however I wasn't logging nor triggering an alarm on OPR like I am now so I might have missed it. Anyway, could this drop be related to the salt mix?
