Okay, I have my new sump installed. It consist of a CPR overflow box, 1" drain using flexible spa tubing that is plugged a bulk head in. the side of the sump. That bulk head is about splits the the water level. So half the the drain is below water. There is a small standpipe in in the overflow box. The flexible hose is a little long so is there are some nice "S" in the hose.

The return is a Mag 5 pump.

1. I am getting the flushing noices form the drain. Now what?

If the flush is coming from the standpipe, you need more air in the pipe. If the flushing noise is coming from the pipes themselves, likely the same problem. If the flush is coming from the overflow box using a syphon, slow the return down. If the flushing is coming from the sump, you need to purge off the air coming from the line or slow down the water as it enters the sump.

I think that covers pretty much every flushing sound I have run into.
