Overflow Boxes

Hello everyone,

I have decided to drill my 90 gal. tank and install an overflow box. After some research, I am perhaps more perplexed than before I started the research. There are quite a few options on the market and would like some feedback on actual experiences from individuals here; options include: -

Eshopps Eclipse S
Synergy Ghost or Shadow
Modular Marine
FijiCube
Other recommendations?

I would like to achieve a 1000-1200 gph. flow rating

With that kind of flow rate, what are you going to run in your sump? Are you just wanting to eliminate any powerheads in the tank?

I went with considerably lower flow rate to maximize skimmer contact time and refugium flow (although admittedly it’s not really a refugium, just a few small rocks and a chaeto ball). One gyre produces way more flow than I need in the tank.

Yeah i can always make an overflow box. Just need dimensions and everything.
