Anyone know if you can paint the trim on a tank. I know where I can get a sweet Oceanic stretch hex with cabinet brand new for about half price. Only problem is it's maple trim. Since we bought the new furniture to match the existing tank wife says the next one has to be black too.

Yep, they can be painted. Try some krylon fusion.

Really depends on how much time you spend doing it. You just have to be a little more careful not to scratch it.

It's a 38 or 40stretch hex w/stand for 225 good deal?

Basically, There is a technique to spraying though. Just do a bunch of light coats and you should be able to get a nice finish without runs.

Yeah I'm pretty decent painting. Only reason I'm so fired up about this tank is the price
