I'm having the entire interior of my house painted and want to make sure my reef isn't harmed. I'm thinking about turning off my return and skimmer and only have the vortechs running for circulation. I plan to cover the tank tightly with plastic, but am worried about oxygen exchange. Should I run an air pump from outside to oxygenate the tank? Has anyone here gone through anything similar? Suggestions?

How about leaving the skimmer running and run tubing connected to the skimmer air intakes outside to supply fresh air exchange?

i painted my house last year and had no problems. left both my tanks on but covered my rimless tank up with a bag.

look @ the label on the can, if the VoC value is near zero, don't sweat it until they are over/beside tank. Latex paint fumes are water..
