pally's in sump

I have a 5 pound rock completely covered in mint green pally's (the cheap, extremely fast growing kind). I was thinking about taking it to the LFS to trade it out for rock but thought maybe I just throw it in the refug. Do you think it would survive in there? I have a 65 watt grow light down there on alternate timing as my DT lights.

That stuff will get everywhere even in teh sump... if you dont want it either sell it or kill it.
