Hey,
What par are all of you chalice nuts keeping your chalices (paging Acroholic :lol2:). I have mine around 130 and the OME is not very green, and the melons are not very brightly colored either. Thanks

Matt,
I have my chalices in a Marineland 150 DD tank (36" x 36" x 27"). They are under a Radium 250 in an LB Large pendant run by a CV 250 watt ballast. The reflector splash glass is about 18 inches above the water surface.

I switched from a 400 watt setup because I had a couple bleach out on me. I run this 250 rig at 100%. I am guessing the chalices get anywhere from 150-275 PAR. but I don't have a meter.

I have seen that red/pink/orange chalices can take higher light than other colored ones. My Vivid Echino and PB Chalice is a pink base, and they are at the top of the reef structure in the strongest light.

Generally, if you have a chalice that is not at the color it should be, then I'd move it to an area with different light strength, from low to high or high to low, etc, and monitor it. But watch them closely, as I bleached out a couple in about three days once. They recovered, but it was scary watching $800 worth of corals turn white.
