A little over a week ago, I added a quarter sized paracentropyge venusta to my frag tank. These guys can be tough to keep and I had previously been scared to try one, but I figured It was time to take on the challenge.
He spends most of the time grazing. I haven't offered any food just based on the fact that I want him to feed on the algae growing in the newly added tank(plumbed into my existing system). He is the only fish, and keeps a very very fat belly. The tank he is in is mainy housing sps, and he doesn't seem to bother them. There are 2 welso, one chalice, a turbinaria, and some tyree green polyp leathers.
Out of the non sps corals named, I saw him picking at the turbinaria. He seems to leave everything else alone.
Does anyone keep these in their reefs? Do they bother anything? What prepared foods does your fish eat? Any further tips?
