I'm sure some of you have seen my posts about the hair algae in my tank. The other day we sprayed some peroxide on the worst spots in the tank and it's really killing it! Some of the SPS corals that were close have turned a little brown and my GSP doesn't look great but I'm hoping they'll rally.
Just thought I would share and maybe get a discussion going.

What exactly do you mean "spray"? I pulled all my rock and I am treating in a brute with peroxide.

Using a turkey baster and a spray bottle. It works wonders in planted tanks and apparently it does in salt tanks too! Assuming my corals recover...

I put everything in my tank including coral. I was trying to get rid of dino. All the coral are doing great but a week and a half or today it has started back. About to make a help post.

Don't be such a square. Everyone's doing it, ya know.

lol I was scared too but I read a bunch of accounts of people using it with good effects. And like I said I've used the same method in a planted tank and it didn't hurt any livestock. And I'm not telling you to do it. Just that I did it and it seems to be working.

I don't understand what you mean. Are you saying you put peroxide on everything in your tank? If so that's awesome.
Sorry it's coming back and I expect mine too as well. I'm just using this help keep the algae under control until I get my nutrients under control.
