PH is CRAZY! high please help

so i am having the crazy problem of high ph

usually its a low ph problem but no no i have to have the odd ball issue hehe

my ph is like off the charts .....8.8!!! ( that is as high as the chart went )

had it tested and at LFS also same high reading, had a friend test it..same high reading

so i am gonna go with the test must be right and i am jacked!

i do partial water changes twice a week as it is a nano tank of only 3.5 gallons

i tested the RO water i am useing to do top offs all is fine there

can anyone else tell me whats going on and why this would be?and even better how do i lower it safely?

Mines 8.44 right now? Is 8.8 high?

It could be your salt mix. Check the oh of your mixed water before adding it

I had the same problem last spring, keep doing water changes, checked my new water ALK it was 16 dKH. I went out and bought a cheaper salt and used it for water changes. It had a low dKH and I added more Mag and Cal to the tanks. I did a 25% water change and every 3 day did a 15% water change until I brought it down to 10 dKH. My fish were fine but I lost some corals. I learned a hard lesson-check the dKH, Cal & Mag of your tanks and the water you change it with. I had used two buckets of the same batch-I do water changes to fix problems but this time I compounded the problem. I figured out what the problem was because I only dose 6 tanks out of 8, all 8 had the ALK problem. Hope this helps someone!

My first thought is your water changes. You say you do 2 per week. How long do you let your salt mix with your water before doing the water change?
